Feb 1 – Catholic School P.A. Day – Ground Hog Day

9:30am -4:00pm

Great indoor and outdoor activities at the Museum for Groundhog Day. This Catholic school P.A. Day features groundhog crafts, a morning and afternoon snack and unique games for your children.


 

Feb 6 – Mar 6 – Marshall Family Album: Black History Exhibition

Tues – Sat, 10:00am – 5:00pm

The Marshall family lived in Woodstock from the 1880’s through to the 1990’s when the last local family member Leroy Marshall died.  Leroy (or Roy) participated in the Oxford Rifles in WWII, several local bands and worked at Thomas Organ.  Ordinary life or extraordinary?  Come look at Roy’s family photo albums and learn more about local Black History.  


 Feb 15 – Family Day

1-4pm, FREE family activities for all ages, food and entertainment. On Family Day come test your Black History knowledge, travel on the underground railway, and take part in the entertainment and food.

Mar 15-19 – March Break Day Camp – Knights of the Round Table

Mon – Fri, 9:30am – 4:00pm

Do you solemnly swear to be a good Knight of the Round Table of Camelot? If so, join us for a week of medieval quests at the museum. Learn about King Arthur and monuments like stone hedge. Test out your jousting abilities, your knowledge of horses and we may just save a princess or two! You may have heard of Sir Lancelot, but have you heard of the others?  


 April 1 – Sept 11 – Answering Nature’s Call

Tues – Sat, 10:00am – 5:00pm and from Victoria Day to Labour Day we will also be open on Mondays as well from 10:00am – 5:00pm.

Join us at the Woodstock Museum for an educational experience on mankind’s ever-evolving response to Nature’s Call! Learn about how our ancestors did their business, and how new technology is helping to make our lives cleaner and kinder to the earth. Using historic artifacts imagine what the privy was like without privacy, and how one used the water-closet without running water!

April 23 – P.A. Day – Great Explorers

9:30am – 4:00pm

Who sailed the ocean blue in 1492? Learn about him and other great explorers on this fun day at the Woodstock Museum!

The Historical Society will be conducting guided walking tours on Sat. June 26 at 10:00 am, noon and 2:00 pm starting at the Museum.  


 June 30 – P.A. Day – Mermaids and Sea Monsters

Under the sea, under the sea! Darlin’ it’s better, down where it’s wetter. Take it from me! Learn about all the mythical creatures at this P. A. Day!

Oct 23 – Woodstock Fleece Festival

Admission: Adults: $6.00, 15 & Under: FREE!

This is an annual event that provides workshops and demonstrations from various fibre artists. Booths will also be set up to sell everything from raw fibre to finished goods.
