Basketry Workshop

Do all the fun festive fall things today with your friends at the museum! Make a mini jack-o-.lantern, celebrate the bounty of the harvest with a farmers market outing, play fun Halloween games and make cute fall crafts.

Lunch & Learn: 1890 Murder in the Swamp

Tuesday, Nov. 17
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The story of the Birchall / Benwell murder trial endures in Woodstock’s present. Theatre productions, books, and art have all been made with this trial in mind. Learn why it was both strange and pivotal at the time from engaging presenter Bryan Smith.

Cost: $25 (Members $20). Lunch included!

Wood Carving Workshop: Make a Gnome!

Tuesday, Nov. 24
6:30 – 9 p.m.

Try the satisfying art of hand carving and whittling with Tri-County Carvers instructor Brett Schultz. Gnome making materials included. Carving knives can be purchased directly from instructor at the end of class if you wish ($28 cash). No experience needed.

DIY 12 Day Advent Calendar Workshop

Have some festive fun in a hands-on crafting session where you design and assemble your own custom 12-day holiday countdown calendar using materials like paper, cardboard, fabric etc.

Can you save Christmas and bring holiday cheer to Whoville? Join us for a festive escape room inspired by a holiday classic!

Lighting of Museum Square

Friday, Nov. 20
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Experience the magic of the holiday season in Downtown Woodstock! Join the City of Woodstock as we illuminate Museum Square with the lighting of the lights. The Woodstock Museum will be offering a Grinch Scavenger Hunt and Letters to Santa inside the Education Room, along with our Grinch Escape Room.

The City of Woodstock is excited to introduce the Winter Lights Market, a temporary, festive indoor holiday market at 478-484 Dundas St. Join the Woodstock Museum at the market on select dates! Get vintage  by crafting your own mini wreath, sewing a tiny ornament or purchase unique holiday cards reproduced from our collection!

Woodstock 125th Anniversary Exhibit

Explore more than a century of the City of Woodstock's history as part of our special 125th anniversary exhibit. Tracing Woodstock's past through the decades, this exhibit explores the city's political, economic and cultural development from the 1900s to the early 2020s. Step back in time and experience the defining milestones, stories and achievements that have fueled our growth through to the present day.

Woodstock Navy Vets 60th Anniversary Exhibit

On view until March 25, 2027

This exhibit celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Woodstock Navy Vets Junior C Hockey Club, featuring important points throughout the club's history alongside trophies, photos and memorabilia.
