The Museum will be open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. starting May 25.
Due to mechanical issues, our elevator is currently out of service. Repairs are scheduled April 27 – June 19. The accessible parking spot closest to the east entrance will be unavailable during this time. Please see our visitor information for details.
Admission to the Woodstock Museum is by donation. You can make a cash donation at the collection box at the front desk. We also take donations by debit or credit card.

The Woodstock Museum is located in downtown Woodstock in the beautifully landscaped Museum Square. Our front entrance is at Market Street East and Simcoe Street, across from the Market Centre.

Getting Here
Free 2-hour street parking is available downtown. Free 2-hour or pay and display parking is also available at several nearby municipal lots. The closest lot is located at Finkle Street and Simcoe Street.
Bike racks are located near Museum Square on Dundas Street and Reeve Street.
You can take any Woodstock Transit route downtown. The transit terminal is located at 623 Dundas St. and is a 10-minute walk from the Museum.

The Woodstock Museum offers automatic doors, an elevator and accessible washrooms for visitors.
Service Disruption: Elevator and Accessible Parking
Due to mechanical issues, our elevator is currently out of service. Repairs are scheduled to take place for approximately eight weeks from April 27 – June 19, 2026. Due to the equipment on site, the accessible parking spot closest to the east entrance of the Museum will also be unavailable for the duration of the repairs.
Our second floor and basement, including the public washrooms and education room, can only be accessed using the stairs. There are also five steps up to the first floor from street level. Staff will notify program and event registrants and refunds will be issued for those who cannot attend.
Alternate washroom facilities are available across the street at the Woodstock Art Gallery (449 Dundas St.). For alternative options for accessible parking or other questions regarding accessibility, please contact the front desk at 519-537-8411 ext. 2901.

Our gift shop carries City of Woodstock and cow souvenirs including shirts, pins, coffee mugs and postcards. We also have a selection of local history books about Oxford County and some of its more famous residents.
